over the holidays i was lucky enough to go to North Carolina to visit a friend. they have some beautiful beaches.

    level that horizon on that nice shot...
    maybe crop it a bit tighter to emphasize the beach sitter into the lower 1/3

    I like the coloring of this shot, it creates a nice mood, I'd like to see the horizon straightened and to lose the overly dark sky on the left.

    you don't like the gradient? i think it puts emphasis towards the girl sitting, which is the subject of the shot. idk...

    I like the idea of the gradient, and the second one is better, the first is unnatural. It just doesn't look like it could be real. My question would be: what's the minimal amount that you can add to get your idea of isolating the woman? Because that's the only reason it's there, right? To focus our attention on her.
