I was out by the river and saw this shot. I thought it's be great but now I think it just looks contrived.

What do you think?

    I like it Adrian. I would do a tighter crop and get rid of some of the sky. Your main focal point are the birds in this shot.

    thanks for the comments, I see where you're coming from.

    I wanted to keep the sky in, as we so rarely get clear blue skies in the UK it's just nice to see one and also if I crop off the top the vapour trails seem to dominate too much.

    I like the first one better. Harry knows everything about blue skies, and to him the birds are the main focal point, but being from a wet place myself, I can relate to you being proud of the blue sky. Next to that, I like the vapor trail/birds in the same picture. Nice capture.
