Help with Galleries

Help! I think I have set all my Galleries wrong. This is how I want my site to work. We are a Little League featuring our teams. So first I'd like it listed by divisions i.e. Major, AAA, AA, A, etc. then under each division I'd like to have a catagory for each team i.e. Angels, Cubs, Mets, etc. then under each team I'd like to catagorize by game, i.e. practice, game on 3-1-08, game on 3-10-08, etc.

But, I think I have them set up wrong. I have Galleries for each Division with the teams in them. Please take a look www.twll.smugmug.com and let me know how to set this up correctly. I have read the help page and watched the video and still can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks

    Hi Shutteractions wave.gif

The structure on SmugMug works like this:

    Homepage > Category > SubCategory > Gallery

The SubCategory is optional, and the Gallery is the thing that contains the images.

In your case, you could set it up like this:
    Homepage > Category > SubCategory > Gallery
    Homepage > AAA        > Angels         > practice 02-02-08

    or something like that.
Also have a look here for help on the Categories/SubCategories: http://www.smugmug.com/help/upload-photo

I hope this helps. Let us know if you have any questions!

So do I need to start all over or is there a easy way to correct this?

No, no need to start over at all thumb.gif

Create the appropriate (sub)categories, and you can associate existing galleries to that subcat as well.

To do that, go to the existing gallery, and click on 'customize gallery' (in the gallery tools' menu. Near the top of that page, you'll find pull down menus that you can use to reassign it's (sub)category thumb.gif
