My New Goldendoodle Puppy
Holly is a Goldendoodle and is a planned "designer" dog, not the result of an accidental cross breeding. Her mother is a Golden Retriever and her father is a big Standard Poodle. She was born on Christmas day which is why we call her "Holly". Life Magazine did a cover story on Goldendoodles which was aptly titled, "The Perfect Dog". I have had numerous dogs throughout my life: several AKC Champions of various breeds and mixed breeds of every type and color but, I have never come across a seven week old puppy who is as smart and as mellow as Holly. She is eight pounds today but, we expect her to weigh between 50 and 70 pounds at full growth.

We have a great mixed breed - random mix - and he is a wonderful, lovely dog.
Enjoy, and keep posting as she grows.

I've heard about and seen goldendoodles. Maybe our next dog, but for now we have two Goldens. They make wonderful pets and yes...they are smart..sometimes to smart
