I have been looking closer at my scan technique and I have found that different colour settings in my scanning programme (currently Scan gear because i've lost the serial for silverfast) make a
substantial difference to the outcome.
below is an image that on the lEFT shows the colour settings set to recommended.
RIGHT is set to colour match: Canoscan to Adobe RGB (the working range I do not use Srgb)

and further this is the colour settings again the LEFT = recommended
RIGHT is set to colour setting NONE.

I havent changed the custom settings of the prelimenary scans as I am concerned with the best starting point.
Which of these would be the best starting point and which values should I be referencing in PS to determine this is the case?
thanks again sam
