I'd pick #2 out of these two shots. But to be honest, I think you can do better in post. #1 is a bit unsaturated & #2 doesn't hit the white point.
Hope you don't consider this comment off base. But I'd want you to say the same to me if this was my thread.

For your input. I agree, #2 is by far better and my original intention. The color cast is also intentional as I wanted that for mood, hence the correct color balance left it cold. Thanks so much for weighing in everyone. I'm pleased with the shot as well and executed what was in my mind's eye.
