:lol3 got a chance to go shoot some birds with steve tonight, but really it was just for me to get my "fix" y'know?

this guy kept getting into all my shots :dunno

18055031-L.jpg

it was pouring rain all day - and you wouldn't believe even after i flew all the way across country, i still had to drag o'le steve around the perk ponds :lol3

18055034-L.jpg

of course, it's all about the food, and we headed over to forbes mill steakhouse for a little bit of sustenance. :eat

18055012-L.jpg

i have a great respect for you birders, it's not easy shooting these darn things! i have a few bb shots also :lol3 and i s'pose, shooting with my 24mm lens wasn't the greatest idea :D naw only kidding. i actually gave it a twirl with my 70-200 f/2.8L + 1.4tc aboard. still - very hard and of course i see now why you birders want reeaaaaaaaaaach :deal

    Hey Andy,

Bless my heart but that's a Snowy Egret and you even managed to get a good pic of him too. thumb.gif Shame that bozo had to move into the frame and mess up your second shot. rolleyes1.gif

That steak looks pretty good. Now that I can BBQ 12 months out of the year I can cook them myself now. :eat

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Dayum, I like both shots with Steve in the them. Is the second a composite, or the real deal?

real deal. i'm on a laptop, no time for composites waxy! i have no sherpa this trip, so therefore no g5, no 30 incher lol3.gif

i set the 20d parms way up on that last shot, really saturated. that's the jpg out of the camera. if i make a print for steve, i'd do it from the raw file, and make it so he's not so separated from the background, eh? seems a tad too sharp i think :)

    thanks w.

Harry, how did some of those egrets you sent me end up with Andy and Steve in California?

70-200L lens............:lol4 At least you didn't blow the egret, not that I have examined extremely carefully. Noise, didn't look. But with that lens :lol I don't suppose you had those problems.

ginger (I never take the 1.4 extender off of my 300 Prime) Anyone want to sell me a Bigma on time.......a long time?
