Looking for a resource that explains the Auto camera settings...

...and how to duplicate each of them in the Program modes.

In other words, on the SLR dial, there are Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, etc, etc. I'd like to read in-depth explanations of what exactly the camera is doing when you choose one of those settings.

Specifically with ISO & metering modes. For example, most are no brainers in regards to shutter/aperture, but what other adjustments is the camera making in the auto auto settings?
