You are SOOO right... I AWLAYS get my goalie "keepers" during warmups. I like to stand on the field behind who ever is warming the goalie up for some great facial reactions too!!

I do the same. I almost always sell one of these shots from a game.
Perhaps this is taking a capitalistic approach (since I'm a capitalist - I guess that's okay), but I can tell you from experience that Soccer Moms of goal keepers couldn't care less whether such photos were taken in warm-up or during game action.

If the goal is to sell prints to parents I'm with Kent on this. It's about getting a sellable image. And that can come from a shot of a kid during warmups, on the sideline, whenever. For editorial purposes it's a bit different. I.E. a cut line should clearly state when a shot is warm-ups vs actual game footage. But for selling prints, there is no 'cheating' by using warm-up shots.

I do the same stuff for baseball....good way to get nice fielding shots since you know where the ball is going.
