Goal keepers always look good when they're warming up:

Perhaps this is taking a capitalistic approach (since I'm a capitalist - I guess that's okay), but I can tell you from experience that Soccer Moms of goal keepers couldn't care less whether such photos were taken in warm-up or during game action. :D

If the goal is to sell prints to parents I'm with Kent on this. It's about getting a sellable image. And that can come from a shot of a kid during warmups, on the sideline, whenever. For editorial purposes it's a bit different. I.E. a cut line should clearly state when a shot is warm-ups vs actual game footage. But for selling prints, there is no 'cheating' by using warm-up shots.

I do the same stuff for baseball....good way to get nice fielding shots since you know where the ball is going.

I was just kidding (JK), but your post threw me off for a minute -- I'm a Kent too!

Great pictures - I agree; knowing where the ball is going and the specific team plays (the inside scope) can result in some great photography.
