Unable to set my own watermark

Hi,

I spent about an hour uploading high res images and then I created a watermark and uploaded that. Now when I follow all the instructions from the Smugmug website, I still can't seem to get my own watermark on my images rather than the Smugmug "proof" watermark.

I have set my gallery customisation settings to use my watermark rather than Smugmug's.

I have also set the watermark to be applied in future when I upload more images, but surely I can still use my watermark on images already uploaded can't I? I'm seriously hoping that I don't have to delete all my photos and spend another hour and a half uploading them again...

Switching the watermark on the customize gallery page will not change
watermarks. Did you then go to Watermarking under photo tools and apply
the newly selected watermark? It will take some time for them to show on
the photos.

Yes, I did go to the watermarking option under the photo and selected my watermark rather than Smugmug. The watermark I am using is actually one of the sample ones from Smugmug, but it says Copyrighted Image instead of Proof.

Andy, I have gone through the instructions as per your link several times and it still doesn't appear to work.

I've also deleted the watermark and tried again but still no luck. I have also waited at least 10 minutes after each change.

Any ideas as to why it's not working?

Hi,

I've had a look and it was because you had "hide photo" checked on the actual watermark image. Even though images are turned into watermarks, they need to stay accessible and intact, not hidden or deleted, so SmugMug can call to them when needed.
