The photos are good. A bit to frozen..Missing a feel of speed and a bit more contrast would not harm i think.

    the composition is good.

    Keep em coming =).

Are you trying to sell these photos? You do not have them water-marked and you allow access to the originals. My experience in the motocross and kart markets is if you do this they will pirate your photos. Sad but true.

As per the shots themselves, many on photography forums will want slower shutter speeds to show some blur in the tires, etc. Your shots appear to have very fast shutters. I never shot above 1/640 myself. But then again I found that what photographers want to see in a shot in forums does not mean that is the shot the riders will ultimately buy.

Rider is dark. Don't ever let your subject be dark in the image. Two ways to fix this: use your flash (I always used my flash, yes even in bright daylight), or change the direction in which you shoot so that you are not shooting the rider's shadow-side.

You need to be either closer, or need a longer lens. Too much dead space in the photo.

Can't tell who this rider is. It will never sell for one. For two its just not an interesting shot.

Usually I hate back shots but this is great for a few reasons. One is the composition. Two is this rider has their name on their back, hence they can recognize themself.

Some I've done the past three years:

Thaks for the comments. I thought I had the photos right click protected. When I try to save them, when I'm logged out, it says that they are protected. Some of the photos you commented on were from a crash sequence. I just so happened to be in the right place at the right time. When viewed in series they show a pretty cool crash. It's amazing how people just expect to get photos for free. One of these reasons why these photos look so much better than your "mom's photos" is this gear costs money. Laughing.gif.

    Thanks Again

Never post a photo without a watermark. Never allow access to the original. And don't forget the power of the screen grabber.
