Magpie (for Steve C)
Magpie's are common here - pesky, noisy birds. When we were in Glacier, the Californians were all gaga for Magpies. I've never considered them attractive birds - guess it's one of those complacency/familiarity things. But I did thin it might be challenging to photograph them:

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks, Harry - black and white bird in the snow isn't really ideal is it! On my cinema screen I can see detail around his eye - can't see it on my other monitors though.
