I am buying a canon 200 4fL lens, but before I lay the money down need to know how resistant it is to dust. I plan to use it for capturing shots of desert racing in extremely dusty conditions.
My understanding is that the lens is not sealed, however, being an interal focus/zoom it will not tend to pull in dust.
I am assuming it will be ok, but would like to receive opinions, think very, very dust conditions
I haven't noticed any dust in my current lens, which is the kit lens that came with my drebel. However, I have had to clean the sensor numerous times and the viewer on my drevel has a lot of dust that I haven't been able to figure out how to remove.
