What do you think of the Mnolta 7D? I'm thinking of going digital.

So since you mean you're "coming FROM film", can we assume that you have Minolta lenses? If you do,then YES! Buy the 7D without any regrets, I haven't held one but I believe the reviews are in and it's a fine camera. The stabilization it uses is not as effective as lens stabilization, rumor has it, but it still kicks major butt, considering stabilization lenses cost thousands...

Some have claimed that it's resulting prints are the most similar to film out of any DSLR to date, so at the very least you can assume that it takes GOOD pictures, for starters. Good luck!
