I'm looking for some specific shooting ideas for the area. Mostly landscapes, nice morning/evening locations to shoot on a weekend.

The park at the end of the road at Los Osos is great. The elephant seals on the beaches below San Simeon.....

Yah, I love Montana de Oro. Haven't seen the elephant seals south of SS, though. Thanks!

I was in that area in June of 2006. You can my photos at my website, http://zoeblue.smugmug.com/gallery/4102782_hC7Hq#239232837

The beach area where Bird Rock is might interest you.
The Mission area in SLO - especially if the gardens are blooming
    What about Cambria? Moonstone Beach?
The area right near Hearst Castle? Just north of where the Elephant Seals are and just south too and there are some view spots
There is a field as you pull into SLO from the One.
There are railroad tracks right off Rte. 1 too.
The area around the Madonna Inn has some fields that could get a sunset view.
Actually, the whole ride up from Santa Barbara north has some pretty coastal views if you take your time going up that way. Stopping in Los Olivos, Santa Maria.

    Pismo Monarchs
The butterflies at Pismo may still be around. I think they stick around
    until late February.
