Man, the things some people do...I would assume if you did that to a prisoner, it would violate the Geneva Convention.

Big difference between Self inflicted and Forced!
Closest I have come is swimming in the pool below Ellis Falls in New Hampshire in June! Nearly as cold, but you get to come out to much warmer air!
Oh, and great shots!

Several years ago I went to a holiday camp and at the outside swimming pool they had a cold dip barrel (it was about the size of a 45\50 gal barrel). The idea was you jumped in and stayed as long as you could then climb out via the steps\ladder. Well after a couple of days I tried it and I can assure you I got out quicker than I got in, boy was it cold :
Man to do that voluntarily...
I fell into a Norwegian fjord in the wintertime..
I imageine it's about that cold. It just doesn't freeze due to the constant motion of the water.
It SUUUUCKED!
I've done something colder than that, but it's a Navy Submarine tradition that I couldn't find when I Googled it, so I figure I'm not supposed to talk about it.
It's funny remembering it, but man it was cold at the time. :cry

I can believe that. We had a sauna all warmed up...

I assure you that everyone involved is perfectly fine - and in their right mind.
