Here's a couple photos my lovely friend Victoria and I had taken a few days ago... Minimal PP are done to them. C&C very welcome!

Lovely set of images. You really got the eyes perfectly sharp. Well done.

Regarding #4, I think you may have pushed it a bit too far. The shadow line around the right edge of the face seems a little abrupt and there are patches that have no detail at all on my monitor. But what bothers me more in that one is the shadow on the forehead. Don't know what cause that. headscratch.gif

    Very good job, Jamie. thumb.gif

I think #1 works beautifully. It's real, honest and has soul. Is it her? You tell us.

If you take a black card or something and cover the top half of each photo so you can only see the bottom half, it then becomes clear (at least to me) that the others don't work as well for her chin.

But that first one is mesmerizing. Her looks are magnetic in #1.

    Nicely done.

With the exception of the first picture, all the other have a round reflection in her eyes, as it her eyes in the first picture that draw you in you llok at the eyes in the others and notice the reflection.

I would agree with the other, No. 4 is pushed a little to far, her left (your right as you look at the picture) shoulder and the left side (your right) of her face but not as bad as the shoulder.

    Thanks for the comments!
Before I print #4 I'll definitely fix it!
My favorite is probably #1 as well. I know Vicki so well and have tried on numerous occasions to get her at ease in front of a camera (she's VERY self-conscious of her smile\skin, etc...) But FINALLY I got some she loved!
    Once again thanks!
Anyone else have any other comments\critiques!?

I definitely think #1 is HER.
Here's another one that's her more playful and "less soulful" self:

This photo gave us a chuckle

I think your color shots need a bit more pop....or ooomph!!!...

The BW's seem to have more contrast.

I know what you mean; I'm so un-educated when it comes to PP, how do I go about giving it that extra pizazz?

    Hiya!!
I don't think nr. 4 is too blow out, but I DO think the shadow is too dominating. I also think that nr. 1 is the one with most potential.. :-) Cheers! Ivar :D
