Niagara Falls

Took a day trip to Niagara Falls. These pictures were as much about seeing the falls as giving me a chance to play around in photoshop which I got a few days ago. Let me know what you like and what you don't like especially with some of the photoshop stuff. I'm still learning what PS can do. Thanks

















I go to college in Buffalo but had never actually visited the falls in the winter. I had no idea there would be that much ice. It was definately worth the 20 minute trip.

I have been there once - (actually it is after that trip that I decided to get a dslr) and always wanted to go back in the winter. Now I really need to make that happen. I can foresee taking a lot of interesting shots.

Interesting. Been there many times, but this is the first I've ever seen of them from the U.S. side?

This is from the US side. We were going out there to hike the lower gorge but were unable to get down into it because the steps were completely iced over. Instead of going home we decided to head to the falls, unfortunately I didn't have my passport with me so we were stuck on the American side. I find the Canadian side to be a much better view of the falls though.
