A flower for Mother's Day?

Was playing around in Photoshop using layers and exposures and guasian blur and borders and levels and curves and goodness knows what else I tweaked on the way to this artistic image of a Gerbera.

My mum has gone now, but she would have loved this sort of thing.

    Hi Paul,
    You are producing lots of nice flower shots and I like this one too. Where on CS3 Extended do you go to produce a jagged edge and such a wonderful surround? As I would love to have a go.

    I like the shot of the flower. I am not sure about the frame but that is all down to taste (and i don't think I have much). But the flower photo is really good

    Bob - the border is one from a magazine (a freebie of their CD) which is a simple overlay blended layer.
