Photographer's Resume

So I need to change my resume. I had one that was just fine, but I just returned from a seven-month road trip. I need to put this experience on my resume, but I have no idea how to go about doing it. Does anyone have something on their resume that doesn't fit with the typical resume stuff? How have you approached it?
