Breast Cancer marathon and a half

My wife has committed to participating in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer this May. It involves a 2-day walk: 26.2 miles Saturday, camping out overnight, and then another 13.1 miles on Sunday. So she will be covering a distance equal to a full marathon and a half!

This is a huge challenge for her and she is working very hard to build up to these kinds of distances. Even given the terrible weather we have had lately she has still been getting out there to train. :clapWe are so proud of her!

She is trying to raise at least $1800 for breast cancer research. If any of you DGrinners would like to make a donation to her cause, you can find her web page and a donate link right here. This is a fully tax-deductable charity that has generated over $150 million dollars for breast cancer research in the last 4 years alone!

Thanks!

Shameless bump! She's nearly halfway to her goal, which is not to say she's ready to walk the 39 miles just yet! :D
