Tonight I tried to enclose a couple of photos on SmugMug but was unable as the photos are PNG file and they have to be Jpeg's. Can anyone please tell me how to change the PNG to a JPeg file.
Many thanks
Bob

What OS? On a Mac you can open the PNG in Preview and Save as JPEG or TIFF and others.

You should also be able to do this in PSCS or PSE on a PC or Mac.

I use Photoshop CS3 Extended. Where exactly do I go on here to change it?
    Thanks a lot

    File, Open.
File, Save As, choose JPG as the file type.

    Hey Andy,
I have been trying that and it just does not work. I Hit File, Open and select the photo I want and then select Jpeg and it comes up in the Camera Raw page I then select Open Image and then the next page I select 'Save As' and when the dialogue box comes up Jpeg is not there and my website and Smugmug won't accept PNG files. Hope you can follow what I am meaning Andy.
    Cheers

Has to be in 8 Bits, not 16, which the DNG would more likely open on ots own into. JPEG conversion doesn't show for 16bit!

    Hey Don,
Where do I go exactly to change the bits from 16 to 8?
    Thanks

I don't have PSCS on this laptop, but it should be somehwere under Menu/image/Mode/8 Bits and RGB.

I'll post a Screen Shot in a few.

Here you go. Move 16 Bit to 8 Bit and you should be good to go!

    Good luck,
