Macuploader won't open

It seems so simple . . .
I downloaded the macuploader, clicked on it, clicked to open . . . then I just see a flash of the smugmug in my applications line at the bottom of the computer and it goes away.
How do I open the macdaddy uploader????

I hope I'm not too late with this, but I had the same issue:

It appears Safari saves the file as MacDaddy-3.0.2.dmg.bz2 for some reason.

Just rename the file by removing the ".bz2" part and it should mount. You can then drag-and-drop it into your applications folder.
