I don't know which forum to put this in so I chose this one. I have booked a self-guided trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone for the first week of June. I need information and directions on where to go for the best photography. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Also any books or articles would help greatly too. Feel free to e-mail me at G A R R 3 4 7 at B E L L S O U T H dot N E T.

    Iconic Tetons
    Hi there,
I was there a couple of years ago and visited a few iconic
    spots in the Grand Tetons.

Here are the places that I visited:
    • Schwabacher's Landing
      • Hike a little north of the parking area to a beaver pond
      • Good at first light.
      • Popular with photographers. May have tripods intertwined with others.
    • Mormon Row
      • Famous barn with the Tetons in the background
    • Oxbow Bend
      • Good morning shoot. Snake River in the foreground with the Tetons in the background.
      • You'll have the company of other photographers here as well.
    • Cunningham Cabin
    • Signal Mountain
      • There's a turn off before you get to the top of Signal Mountain which I thought was a better location that the very top.
      • Nice at sunset. Jackson Lake and the Tetons.
    • Jenny Lake
    • Snake River Overlook.
      • Location of the famous Ansel Adams photograph.
I wish we had time to do more exploring. We didn't have time to do any hiking or exploring some of the other backroads.

We only had enough time to visit the most popular areas. I wish we could
    have done some more exploring.

Hopefully, a more experienced GTNP/YNP dgrinner can add some more
    information.

I made a Google Map of the mentioned locations.

Link to photos that I took. Also if you click the Map This button, it will
    bring up Google Maps.
