AND PRAY!!!
Because this is charging right at you with no sign of stopping (fence or no fence) with your 5 year old son standing next to you.
Yes, a real Bison. There is a local farm here who has 2 grazing the field with his many heads of cattle. Another area photographer told me where they were and how to get there. So, tonight, I took the kids to see the Bison. We kept a fair distance from the fence and shot some pictures. When he moved to the other side, we moved away to the opposite side.
But, I guess this Bison has a 5 minute paparazzi time limit and ours was up?? So he let us know, with no questions, we were done. So, we took one more shot and got outta there. My son was unafraid, but well.. scared the doodles outta me
Few more shots to show what a really beautiful creature we encountered.
This should have been my warning glance, but I am not fluent in Bison yet.
The colors of the fur were gorgeous. (I was several feet back here, thankful for the zoom)
I think what might have cause the reaction and the rush towards us, is my flash fired. The sun was setting and I had the camera in Auto, so the camera did its own thing.
