"Colorizing" Infrared...

I am very interested in infrared and got a filter to work with it some, budget does not allow for a converted camera. I can get the un-colored images very well...but I see alot of IR with great color in the sky and stuff and I have no idea how to accomplish this...

I have asked a few people who I have seen photos with this done and no one seems to want to help. So figure I might try it here...
