Hi Y'all,
USA Today has an excellent article on Smugmug.
Our own beloved (they made me say that) mod DavidTo is quoted in it.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

I was interviewed for that article as well, but I must not have not said anything notable... ..possibly because I was in shock that they even called me!
Really nice article though!
Hey, you know what David means, eh? That's right.....beloved!

Regardless, as someone who engages in "customer service" (to chemists, not the general public) I have come to recognize quite well what good service is, and is not. And how simple (though not always easy) it is to have good service. The article sums it up pretty well; know what you want to do as your main thing, make sure your customers know what that is, and what it isn't, and then do it well. Smugmug has always done that. So I've never even considered looking elsewhere, and never will.
I just wish smugmug's business ethic was more widespread. It really is a pleasure to do business with them. That's exceedingly rare.
