I've been inspired by the photos here of the bugs, flies, grasshoppers etc that I thought I would share a couple of mine. Comments and ways to improve as welcome.

I thought I better add some details:

With photo number one, the spider is no more than 3 - 5 mm long - you can compare him to the grass seeds beside him.

With photo number two, this butterfly was no more than 1.5cm tall and has some beautiful water drops on the wings.

For both photos - they are hand held with natural light.

Love that little Butterfly, the bent flower stalk reflected across it's body,
lot of detail picked up, even the wings external edge pattern is clearly visible in the shot

I see your spider has got himself some dinner too.
