Found this one today, out hwy 7 on the way to Hutchinson, MN.
Can you remember gas at this price ... I can!
It used to go into a big blue Pontiac Bonneville that probably got 11 mpg on a good day. The radio was AM only and tuned to 630 KDWB and True Don Blue playing the latest Beatles song while we barreled along Hwy 36 on the way to Lake Jane to water ski all day with-out a care in the world.

Thanks for sharing.
the photo is a bit messy but nice catch
I remember fuel being a lot cheaper than it is today,
around the $8 mark used to fill my little car, whereas today about $70 fills my tank.
Many folks can't rely on Public Transport, and I'm one of them.
I would choose to travel by bus if they had a decent time table.
The system does not suite anyone unless they basically work normal working hours, which I don't, and it's actually cheaper to take your own car into work than use the Public Transport System.
It would be nice if fuel was cheaper but... it ain't gonna happen!
So I guess your sign is a piece of History, that most people will never see again. .... Good Find pthorpe .... Skippy
