Good for you however you got this close -- long lens or a chance to be on the floor. A picture is worth a thousand words - this one is worth at least that! You do seem to have some noise going on there, from what I can see.

The 18-200VR is no sports lens and, in the Dome lighting, I use 800-1600 ISOs to get faster shutter speeds. I also wait for stoppages in play. This photo is cropped from the original. The pros covering these games have some serious glass!

The women's games are general admission so I can get very close. In fact, I got a court-side seat this past week. Here's the view from there.
