Gymnastics expressions

I took pictures this past weekend in what had to be the most poorly lit gym in New England. I had also just sent back the Canon 70-200 2.8 lens that I was renting and had to use my own 70-300 instead which made things even more trying. Since everything was so dark I tried a different approach of zooming in and trying to capture their expressions. These two photos were shot through a glass window that was very close to the Rings area. Hope you like.

    Darkened gymnastics
Stephanie - That's the way to use your imagination! Or, to turn a problem into a solution.
You might brighten them a bit more, but it forces onw to concentrate on the 'glowing', sort of, face and expression.
I think it works very well. A very nice 'sportrait' is what you would call it!

I would however try to cut/erease the white light appearing on the left.
