Which of these shots convey a feeling of stillness or silence to you?

Thanks in advance.

The Tree is my choice, it stands like a statue, bare branched, no wind,

Great topic Tamplum, I looked for a while before making my choice.

Very nice post, and lovely shots to go with it clap.gif Thank you thumb.gif

I really like the first one, you can tell that the rest he is getting is well earnt and i love how you've captured his fingers touching his swag, as it is probably all he has in his life other than the peace he has in that moment.

    Lovely shot ~Mark

Nice shots, the wood ducks are always good for color. I always enjoy a good oak.

Well, I went with something slightly different than the above shots for the challenge.

Caught this on way home the other night...

That tree looks familiar. Very nice. We have had some awesome sunsets around here lately

    Final Shot Picked
Laughing.gif. That looks like A LOT of trees in this area.

But, yes it is the same tree as the first post, but at sunset rather than blue sky- midday

It is on a hill over off baseline and walerga. Sitting up there, all by itself, with nothing within hundreds of feet, then it goes back into creek-like thick trees again (dry creek) I am thinking about doing a photo study of it. Take a picture every 2-4 weeks, from same vantage point and put it all in 1 album.

Don't know why, but sounds fun. lol

    Beautiful shot of the duck.

For me, the tree implies stillness -- complete solitude and quiet.

    Arastradero Preserve, eh?

I've seen that tree but can't find a capture I have of it. It's a good place for oaks though :-)
