I just got my new 85mm f/1.8 lens and thought I'd shoot a few available-light photos of my twins. The narrow depth-of-field is fun and I think they turned out pretty well for late-night snap-shots. Enjoy! (first three are of Robert, fourth is of Lydia)

First, allow me to say congrats on the lovely twins. As a father of twins, I totally understand your future challenges and rewardsclap.gif

While shooting your children try to be aware of the background colors competing with the fair baby skin your children have as in your #2 picture. You do not want anything to distract from the cuteness and beauty of your kids.

Again, congrats on the lens and the overwhelming challenge of raising twinsthumb.gif

It's funny, this is the second time I've seen a "got my 85 f1.8" thread in a few days, and each time the lens moves up on my list...

#2 and #4 are my favourites, I only wish that #4 had both eyes in focus

The best advice I have for you is to say strongly, it does get easier. My wife and I joined a local twins club. This helped us tremendously since they had similar issues and they had a ton of used equipment we were able to borrow and exchange. Since baby items and toys are so expensive and only used for a couple of months, this helped us financially in a big way.

Just the diaper expense alone blew me away. I actually had to give up golf which at the time I could not even imagine giving up.:cry Now, I could care less since the addiction is goneclap.gif and photography is my current vice:ivar

    Wait
I love seeing double. My twin granddaughers are 11 now and I have them using cameras on their own for story telling. They love it.

As for twins, I love photos of them together. They're not identical but they are a pair and i do try to get them both in a frame together.

As soon as they are self sufficient and can dress and feed themselves, it gets easier. (sigh) - college will be here to quickly. I wish they were still infants. There was nothing more fun the the feed-change-burp and sleep routine we had going the first weeks. One up and one down. THAT was tough0
