Macro lens help

LIke suggestions on the following choices.
A used Nikon AF Micro Nikkor 105mm f2.8 D macro lens
or Tokina atx 100 pro D macro.
Will be used on a Nikon D80 :dunno

    Both are a fantastic macro lens, what you need to ask yourself is what you actually want to use the lens for. Ie if coins and flowers both or even a 60mm would be fine, on the other hand if its bugs like butterfly etc I would advise a longer lens again to give you that extra working distance.
    Not a direct answer but something to think on before purchasing any lens.

    I'm not familiar with the older Nikon lens, but the new Tokina is very sharp.
    You may want to check out photozone.de as they may have tested both lenses.
