Letting go of the “Big Guy”,
Selling my 400 2.8 in order to go larger and smaller (hopefully 300mm & 600mm).
Also including a Canon 2X Teleconverter, New Domke photo vest and New Lowpro day-trip backpack to sweet’n the deal a little bit. Pix of items are at the bottom but here are the details:
Canon EF 400mm 2.8 L II Ultrasonic telephoto lens (non IS version code UK1001) in great condition. Glass is spotless and tack sharp. Focus is fast, accurate, quiet and a pleasure to use. Some paint scuffs and scratches on the barrel and hood but strictly cosmetic. Tripod mount shows much more wear but lens has never been dropped or abused in any way.
Comes with original metal case, leather hood cover, rear lens cap and padded slip proof strap.
Canon Extender EF 2x II (code UU0600) in excellent condition. Glass is spotless and sharp…yes, sharp! Not as sharp as the bare lens but much sharper than the rumors would have you believe. This tele turns the 400 into an 800mm 5.6 with fast focusing at a great distance. Perfect for motorsports and wild-life.
“Photogs” medium size photo vest by Domke (khaky green). A brand new, never worn gift to me that I appreciated but will never wear as I have others! Quality fabric and stitching and of course plenty of pockets.
Lowepro backpack. Brand new simple backpack with some padding but no compartments. Rugged straps, zippers and materials but more of a general pack than a full-on camera bag. Still great quality and very convenient.
Price is $4500.00 (All payment methods welcomed) and includes everything above plus:
-All PayPal fees
-UPS shipping (ConUS) and packaging materials
-Full $4500.00 worth of insurance
-Notarized document from UPS Store Manager verifying that all items are visually as described and included in package. (This is a big purchase so I want to offer some sort of honesty gesture!)
-Shipping to any locations outside the ConUS is negotiable.
Package will be shipped immediately upon receipt of funds. Checks and MO’s require bank clearance.
