Last September my beautiful wife thought that I should have the new Nikon 500mm VR, and of course I always agree with my wife. So she put in the order, and we have been anxiously awaiting its delivery. As you all know Nikon is just a little slow, but for those of you who are still waiting, have heart; mine has arrived. A few weeks ago my wonderful wife also made me go out and get a new tripod, in fact she was so adamant that she read up on the subject, and told me to buy the Gitzo 3530LSV. I always listen to my gorgeous wife, so I did. Now I’m ready. When UPS comes by, she is also ready with camera in hand, wanting a picture of my excitement as I open the package. I should have known something was up, but you know there’s a new lens in there. However as I tear into this huge parcel the first thing I see is a gold colored box labeled D3! I was stunned, but finally realized it wasn’t a mistake; she knew that lens needed the right camera, and that I should have it. That moment was a wonderful reaffirmation of my truly generous and loving wife, and what a fantastic way she chose to say I love you. I haven't had much time with it, but here are a few samples.

Outstanding lil bro - but you have always told me that it is the photographer, not the equipment. Oh well, so much for that theory. Congrats on your new lens, tripod and camera (not necessarily in that order) - I would say that you have a most "special" lady

Nice series for the first time out with the new equipment rolleyes1.gif :ivar clap.gif

I'm impressed with the results of that 400 and 1DMKIIN, and you're not so shabby. Excellent images, but maybe it because she's carrying the gear......hmmm, how can I work that out? Thanks for the compliment Ric. :D:D

We had been waiting for months, but when I saw the D3 it became 20 Xmas', and now no more presents are necessary for a lifetime. Thanks for the 2 thumbs up, but I'll add them to her 3. Thanks Chris

Sorry Mike, they're all out of sisters. I got the last one, and she is the best.iloveyou.gif About that bad attitude....it's seems to be paying off with great images from M15. I've been watching, and your equipment is working just fine, especially with Osprey's, and now Eagles. wings.gifwings.gif However, with this new stuff, I may come down there and give you a run for the money.:ivar :ivar
