Sparrowhawk Swoops on a Starling
Follow this link to see a story in today's (2008-03-01) London Daily Mail. It seems this fellow heard the bird screaming in the backyard and came running with his camera.
Nice crisp shots.

Really nice series of pics. But I thought a sparrowhawk in Europe was a kestrel here. That looks like what I would call a cooper's hawk or sharp-shinned hawk, but no matter. It was a great series of photographs that depicts the hunter and the hunted. I noticed that in the comments there is someone complaining that the photographer did not show compassion and save the starling.
