Space filling patterns

I seem to have a curious attraction to filling space with pattern.
Its a little obsesssive...
This is ice formed on a table overnight..natural light.
Autumn maple leaves.
Gravel driveway in winter:
Oak leaves in summer:
A large pile of woods scraps out behind a friends house:
This is the outside of a theatre building... its difficultto find such wide expanses of solid brick with no windows. Stage flyhouses's fit the bill.
Water on my kitchen counter:
Trees in winter:
Coiled Rope, used in my job all the time. Actually we gave up this natural stuff, and only use synthetics now, but it doesnt have the same cache. Apologize for the rope shot being out of focus. weak light, and and shakey hands and all, but I was drawn to it.
From a Hotel Room high above NYC:
under Canopy in Costa Rica:
Thanks for enabling my addiction to all this full of pattern. :thumb

Hi there Stagehand... wow the ice makes really cool paterns.
My two favourites are the Oak Leaves and the View from the Hotel
Sure is a city of lights isn't it.
These are great shots, you could use many of them as texture files too.
Excellent Series Stagehand .. thanks for sharing .. Skippy

thanks fo replying.
you know Smugmug has a really great "make a puzzle" feature which makes a really great/cruel gift when these are used as the image. :Lol
Positively Diabolical!
that is a great idea actually! I love space-filling patterns, and the oak tree is very calming to me when I look at it. I find myself doing many similar things when I go out shooting. Never thought to describe it like that, though!
I agree with Ivar, the city lights are fantastic. i never really looked at street lights like that before, as a pattern. But they are.

my stuff is here.....
I like the tomatoes- the one has a mettalic sheen, pretty cool.
Here are some more I found:
This one is not so strong, but embodies the thought process:
This one is almost not quite in the spirit of things, but close enough:
And I was saving this one for another thread, but I like it:
