Love the posting and expressions - and the bare feet!
From my monitor - not calibrated - contrast is a bit off on the faces - an easy fix.

agreed with chatkat, but this is an adorable photo! Love the palm, the framing, very nice composition and those kids are just too cute!

The white in her hat has some blown areas. I may have that fixed a little better in the second monotone version. I had tried to brighten the faces in the originally posted image...maybe to a fault.
The color version-
Another monotone try.....this one with more contrast and saturation.

Maybe a bit of buring in on the BW or the Sepia is better. The color one is better in my opinion.

I agree the color is better. I may have flattened the shadows on their faces a bit to much with the fill flash. I was trying to be sure I had enough light under that hat.
