The zoo, off season

Going to the zoo off season has its advantages:

- you'll be personally greeted by the inhabitants, happy to finally see someone:

- you won't have to fight your way up or down the small stairs to the bathrooms:

- you'll have no problem finding a spot in the lunch area:

- and you might capture the inhabitants working on their tan line for summer season:

All shot on a cloudy day, well spent in the Gaia Park in Kerkrade, The Netherlands.

nice series! :) i enjoyed them all. i like the staircase the best as an abstract, but i think the empty picnic benches is the best imagery for the empty zoo.

Thanks for all your nice comments. @Ivar: it's Gaia Park, a relatively new zoo way south in Kerkrade, Limburg. It's a modern zoo: open, and (especially in season) not too many caged in animals.
