hi,

took a small ride outside yesterday, and spotted some beautiful birds circling around looking for some lunch. Have no idea if they are eagles, falcons or hawks, think hawks, but am not sure.

First, got a look at their cool feather patterns

then one of them came closer, focusing on lunch search

still focused, not realizing that it came so close to the ...camera

but then finally looked up for a pose :)

thanks jwear. practice indeed - i had settings messed up, forgot iso on 200, put up shooting speed at 1250; f/stop wouldnt go below 5.5. no idea. image came out very dark, had to enhance fill light. oh well. this is how we learn.
just checked out the tips and resources page and was overwhelmed with the links. it will take me 75 years to read all that, but - beginning is toughest.
