I am in a beyond beginners class in town. My final project is Boston at night. So far I have shot about 500, slowly widdling it down to 10. So far these are my candidates. Thoughts?

Very nice series. I love the shots of the Zakim. A bunch of us from potn went out to some of those same locataions a few weeks ago for a night shoot.

I agree with AaronNelson (#6 & #11) but also really like #3. I love driving over that bridge.

6 & 7 for me. I liked the nice star burst effect on the street lighting.

    4 & 12, all the way. Here's my $0.02:

Crop #4 more! Remove some of the bottom to make a sort of rectangular/panoramic size image. I'd take out the space between the bottom of the frame and the first stump on the left, but leave the wood stumps in the water so you can still see that whole thing, then crop all that dead space underneath. It'd make a killer improvement.

On #12, it looks great, love the removal of the noisy colors. Clean up the lens flare on the mid-right corner if it is at all possible though, its an eye catcher.

Overall cool series! I can see how you may have a hard time picking and choosing the best ones.

    Hope my ideas help out!

I really like the selective colour in #5 but my favourite is #2. You can see Orion! It gives a nice balance in the picture.
