Very striking Ian, it has a real depth that makes me feel I can step onto that path.

Gorgeous! Amazing the blue skies right next to such dramatic clouds.

Your HDR work is fine thumb.gif

I love the HDR version. It's not overdone, it still keeps that "real" look, with a just a touch of magic that a well done HDR can give.

I'm curious how many exposures you used and what software was used?

Made from a single RAW in Photomatix and then finished in PS7.. rolleyes1.gif

:confused ooohhh no no no!! :eek1umph.gif

Plz, the original image had such splendid dimension and colours, it almost looked real. the HDR, with all due respect, takes away most of postives that made the original such a beauty!

I can see what you mean about the sky but please, try not to do it at the expense of the original feel and look :thwak

maybe you could layer the original and HDR image onto each other and only use the HDR sky over the original image? headscratch.gif

BTW: only responding this way because i LOVE the original!! wings.gif

    Great shot Ian,

But this Canadian by choice actually worked on the team that designed 3 railcars that go up this mountain......Which just happens to be my country of birth :-)

I see a fuzy line between the sky and the mountains. This is always the first place I notice, probably because I too have made these masks only to refine them and then refine them and refine them again. I also notice the tops of the mountains have turned blue.
