Made my annual trip to the Indy practice sesions to shoot. I took a lighter load this year, just my D200 and 85 1.8.

Excellent shots! The one of DV really shows how large he is, even on a big 450. He has such a unique riding style. I'd love to get down on the floor to watch one. That's the only way to really see just how large the obstacles are and how amazingly talented riders at this level can be.

    Excellent. Excellent. Excellent. bowdown.gif

I can't even tell you which one is my favorite of the bunch... Tack sharp, captures the moment, good background DOF or motion blur, and great exposure. What else can you ask for?

Very nicely done. Did you have any issues with focusing? as AF speed or accuracy?

Thanks, William. That's why I go to the practice sessions, you can sit just about where ever you want. Of course, I always sit in the bottom row. :D

Thanks. It was my first panning while using the AF-ON button. My keeper rate wasn't what I wanted, but I think that was just me being a little rusty. mwink.gif

I do not think it was you mainly, it was the NON-AFS lens. I tried the 85'er on my D200 for motorsports and I too had problems with focus. Then after I got my 70-200, I put the cam on AF-C with VR panning mode, I had 100% accuracy.

Good point. I mainly use that lens for little kid's basketball. Of course, they're not as fast as the bikes. mwink.gif

    Thanks.
