Hey everyone

After doing a bit of reading on the best way to capture insect/bug/butterfly shots, I went out this morning and put the theory into practice.

this is my first ever Lady Beetle photo - so I'm pretty chuffed (although, it's not anywhere near as good as the last lady beetle photo posted here)

C&C always welcome.

Thanks.

Wonderful shot - love the pastel colours and light.
Only C&C would be the shot is composed for the flower not the ladybird, but it works anyway :)

Thanks Brian. This shot was taken at 1:2 - I was out specifically to practice my 1:1 shots of whatever insect came my way. I was sitting on this paved path and noticed something moving on the flower a little back from the fly I was shooting and captured it. I only had a chance to take two shots - the first was terribly blurry and the second is the one you see. The next thing I knew, the lady beetle had gone way off into the distance and that was that. these guys move a lot quicker than butterflies do that's for sure!!

Thanks for taking the time to C&C - much appreciated.
