There were crosses placed for the first 1000 casualties. It was pretty impressive and humbling.

    Thanks, Tim. Yep, I occassionally go around taking shots around campus. I should probably do it more often.

    Nice photos indeed...But it makes me wounder..How many crosses that was raised for the iraq people who got killed in the war..Probably one here and there..

    The one marker with the crescent moon instead of a cross says a great deal...and that is good.

    I'm glad you got it in the shot...and hope you intended to.

    Sorry to hear that. I know how that feels when you go back for another shot or a different angle of photographing it and it's gone.
