Not sure where to post, I decided this may be most appropriate.
I have a Canon 70-200 f/2.8 L with missing screw. Anyone know or can you provide a link to where I can get one?

Thanks

Canon would want you to send that lens back for repairs. If you live close to a Canon authorized repair facility you might call them to see if you can set up an appointment.

If you are sure there is no damage to the lens or adjustment needed, you might just call around to the larger camera shops that do repair and see if they might have a spare screw.

You might also check with B&H and KEH as they do a lot of repairs. A photograph of the area where the screw is located would probably speed replacement.

Thanks Ziggy, Im not aware of any canon repair facility near my area.
The screw is on the outside of the lens, just under the tripod collar, if that helps. They become loose on occasion and I just tighten them, but this time it must of became loose while I was shooting without the collar attached. you think it would need adjustment just for a missing outside screw?

I won't be any help with the screw....but

I have to ask....how many friends do you expect to make in Tuscaloosa with an OU avitar?
    :D

Of course I am only joking, but know all too well how serious those Bama fans are.

    Ahem Cough Ahem, I smell a tiger ! :D

Raised in Okla, went to College in Okla, graduated then moved to Bama, been here almost 20 yrs

Actually they treat me fairly well, I have a daughter thats a Senior At Alabama, and my youngest daughters boyfriend who is 6'6 and 315 lbs recently signed to play football at Bama. Like most fans of any school most are very nice and a few are just arse holes. One thing I have learned tho, Most Bama fans have great R.E.S.P.E.C.T for "The University of Oklahoma" and I can certainly live with that Laughing.gif.

BTW, I like your photos, very nice.

Ok, back on target....I have a loose screwrolleyes1.gif Uh wait, Its missing

Yes....a Tiger fan I am. You have been there long enough ....certainly...to be accepted.:D

BTW ....there is usually a loose screw attatched to my camera too, but it is always at quite the opposite end from yours.....if you catch my drift.

    Good luck in your search!
