Thanks Chris ... yeah No. 3 has a film quality to it. I echo your favorites as well. I like the solitary feel of the lone performer ... got to be a bit brave to be on stage all by oneself.

No. 2 is high on my list ... kinda like a hundred monkeys in a room with typewriters ... if you shoot a lot you're bound to get a good one.

For No. 2 the little girl performed "Fever" ... all with this intense red light. Where a high school aged kid hears Fever ... you know ... but the entire night was very entertaining ... the kids have some real talent (then Whitney is the number 1 public high school in California also - by testing).

I'm going along with the crowd Gary - too many great shots to pick a favorite. I do go along with Chris's picks, though, and add #4. Terrific set! thumb.gif

Thanks S- at elevated ISOs the FF sensor is so much better than the APS-C in noise control ... I am glad I have the 5D.

Thanks for the compliment Atomicjade. Whitney isn't an ordinary high school. There's been a book about Whitney, the school receives inquiries from around the world from people trying to get in (people call my HS trying to get out) ... nobody comes close to Whitney in per student average SAT scores (a bunch of smart kids).

The event wasn't held in the school's MPR or gym, but in a municipal theater located in a different city. Some of the performers were sub-par, high school-ish, but most were very good and a few acts truly exceptional.

    Gary

PS- The students ran it all ... the lighting the sound system, the set-ups and tear-downs ... the whole enchilada.

Just a FYI ... The images (about 300 total) went up on the Whitney Web Site last night. By this morning there were 14,000 hits ... not bad for a school of 800 ... the homework page got less than 20 hits. Laughing.gif
