Im driving along when i go under a bridge & on the very other side is 4 wallopers all in the exact same stance with the same uniforms & same sholder laser rader guns up & aimed into the traffic...all about 18" apart !!!
Great shot i think...!
So i do the block & stop & sneak up from under the bridge..they are busy so i get 'em anyway. All i heard him say was "Did ya hear that frank ?...bloody 20D if ever ive heard one"
Playing with new toys is one of the perks but remember the iq levels aren't that high. Put a sign up " Don't touch" and every walloper who walks by will poke it. :poke If it's wired to the mains and they get 220 v they pick themselves up and go right back to that sign and keep poking it until they pass out.
They had a car pulled up just out of frame on the right...the silver & white V8 pursuits are theirs & there is another V8 behind the patrol car. My tax's at work.
Mate its easter time....a time when 0zzies tend to wipe themselves out on the roads big time. These blokes miss easter with their family to make sure mine is safe from speeding idiots on the roads. I'll back any fella who does that.
As Gus can verify the Australians were the first to put graphic ads of traffic accidents on tv in an effort to stop the amount of road deaths. The ads were copied here and in the UK. One particular ad was about the difference between 30mph and 40mph. It showed a child being struck by a car and bouncing like a rag doll. The message behind the ad was that the 10mph difference was the difference between death and survival for the child.
V8's, now that is a toy I would like to play with:D .
I put it on Jpeg radid shoot to see how fast it was yesterday....it was like a fully automatic rifle I had no idea it would run at that speed & it wouldnt stop until i took my finger off. Little wonder sports photogs love it for the price.
Wait until you go to a race meeting or an australian rules match. You will enjoy the speed then.

With nearly 30 years at Qantas as a 24/7 shift worker one would have to be on their "death bed" to miss working at easter, double time and a half for g/friday double time for sunday and monday. If the police work on any sort of seniority system it will be the more mature officer working, which i guess is a good thing.

Come on shay...theres one with your name on it mate.
In my time as an engineer at ford, one of the coolest cars I drove was a police package Ford Falcon... always wondered why that big bad rear while drive platform never made it stateside

Very funny. It does have a distinctive sound, doesn't it? I like it, even though it's loud. I find it very satisfying. Ker-chlunk. Ah.
