Wedding Photo Album

My sister just got married and I'm putting together a photo album for her and her husband as a gift. It's nothing too large, maybe 20-30 photos plus a well designed cover. My question is how to prepare the actual album. They are going to want a physical copy of this album, not just an online one. Printing everything will not be the issue, my problem is how do I put everything together? Should I purchase an actual album and put the photos in that? My only problem with that is that my cover will then be placed inside the album itself. If I just bind the images all together (each image is the size of a sheet of paper) how will the book be sturdy? I just want this to come out looking nice so they can keep it for years to come. Please help!!

I'm not sure which forum to put this in so please feel free to move it to the correct location if this one is wrong.

Are you printing the photos and then you want a matted album?
Do you want a coffee table book that is printed?
You can slip in photos in a conventional book.
Books range from $50 to $2500 or more depending on what you select.

You could use a Blurb book that is a Smugmug offering.
Mpix.com has some book layouts where you upload the photos and design using their softward - titles, frames and graphics. I've used them with good results but not really "wedding" material imho.
    Same with Shutterfly or Ofoto.

There are a number of companies that cater to the wedding professionals that if you are not a registered vendor you would not be able to purchase from.

So you have to know what you want the end product to be to get a real answer.

Thanks for this tidbit. Sometimes I completely miss new Smugmug offerings. I hope they really dig into this.

Check out Albums Inc. I bought from them years ago when I did my wedding album. Things have changed drastically since the 90's, but it's still a good company.
